Physical Therapists manage and prevent many physical problems caused by illness, disease, sport and work related injury, aging, and long periods of inactivity.
Physical Therapists are skilled in the assessment and hands-on treatment of a broad range of conditions that affect the musculoskeletal, circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems.
"Physical Therapy" is also commonly known as "Physiotherapy".
Our Philosophy
Acadia Physical Therapy strives to provide a balanced blend of science, art and compassion to all of our customers.
Our practice has been described as "evolutionary", "integrative" and "really, really different from any of the other places I've been".
At Acadia PT, we combine the best of traditional treatment with effective complementary techniques. Our goal is to work with you to get you back to your life as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Do I need a referral from a doctor?
No. Physical Therapists are primary health care providers, just like doctors and dentists. You can come in to see us without having a doctor's note. Some insurance companies may require a doctor's referral before they will reimburse you for your treatment costs, though.
